Waiting for a spot to open up at the bird feeder.

I’ve made a little pledge to myself, actually it’s a pretty big pledge:  For 365 days I will post a picture I’ve recently taken.  Of course, this means that I will need to take pictures everyday, or almost everyday, so that I have something to post.  So, I take my camera with me where ever I go, even to the store.  I have been known to pull over to the side of the road and have a little impromptu photo shoot with some weeds.  I have also, when stopped at a red light, rolled down my window and snapped a few interesting shots of whatever is growing in the bit of dirt there.  I even take my camera with me when into the bathroom and have caught some cool pictures of birds from the second story window.  Let’s just say this pledge has really opened my eyes to the beauty that surrounds me.  It has also challenged me to be more creative with the lighting, angle, composition, background, and subject matter. I hope you enjoy these little beauty breaks as much as I enjoy seeing them, shooting them, and sharing them.
