I love color but wanted to stretch myself a bit so I decided to focus on black and white photography. Originally, I planned to only use objects that were black, white, or gray. As you can see I experimented will all kinds of materials. Without color, I found I had to pay greater attention to form, lighting, angle, and composition in order to create something interesting. I was often surprised by the results, both good and not so good. If nothing else, it was definitely a great learning opportunity.

However, I became curious about what kinds of photographs would also look good when converted to black and white. I played around with some and have and have included a few here as well.
